TRAGEDY POTS COLLECTION

These drawings, with subdued colors, combine contemporary tragedies on the traditional form of a Greek Tragedy Pot. I screen printed the pots, using graphite for the line, so each remains a drawing. Because the initial pot form is a print, I can continue adding to the series. I use stories from the news that affect me and which I consider contemporary tragedies. Often these works are based on policies and politics in the USA. This series started in response to lead poisoning in Flint, Michigan.

I started this collection in 2016 and it continues to grow.
