In the news
Public Art in the News – Allendale, MI
I worked with the Allendale community to create the beautiful mural on the bathroom building in Allendale, Michigan. Community members sent drawings of bugs and flowers, which I then turned into a composition for the space.
On the 4th of July, 2018, community members participated in a paint out where people enjoyed adding color to the line painted mural. I completed the mural the following week, and it continues to be enjoyed by the community.

Art Classes in the News
When my studio was in Allendale, Michigan, the local newspaper often featured my art lessons. I offered painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture classes. Many of my students went on to win prestigious awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing competitions.

Art Extravaganza in the News
I enjoy art outreach and work with communities to encourage creative thinking. Art Extravaganza, a yearly program the library put together, invited artists from the area to teach the community what they do. I was often one of the visiting artists.
